Bring it on Twenty-Eleven!

This year is going to be one crazy roller coaster ride for our family. We have been putting a lot of thought into that really long deployment I told y'all about, and as much as we don't like the being apart for 6+ months the benefits of this thing really do out weigh the negatives. So this week, yesterday as a matter of fact, *D* went in and volunteered to do it. We would rather go in and say "this is when we want to do this" then risk them voluntelling him that he's going when he comes home from his deployment that he's leaving for at the end of this month.

So yes you read right. He is about to leave sometime VERY soon, will be gone for a few months, home for some time, gone for training, then deploying towards the end of the year and will be gone for a good half of next year. *sigh* This is so not what I thought would happen when we cross trained, but I just keep telling myself "If God brings you to it, he'll get you though it." I don't think we would be put into this situation if we couldn't handle it.

The only thing I worry about is the kids. I am already planning on getting Little Miss in pre-school so she has something to help pass the time. Little Man will be 1 year old so I am still trying to figure out something for him. And me, I have been given the 'go ahead' to plan a romantic get away from me and *D* for when he comes home. I am excited to do this. We didn't get a honeymoon and have never gotten to just get away just the two of us. I am really sure (like 99.9%) that we are going to go to Hawaii. I went back in 2006 with my family and LOVED it. I want to go back and have looked into it and it's REALLY affordable!! Hopefully that will keep my mind off everything and it gives us something to look forward to.

So bring it on Twenty-Eleven (and part of Twenty-Twelve) I am so ready to get though this and put it behind us.
